Odisha: Hungry Driver Beaten For Demanding Food, Video Goes Viral

Keonjhar: A video that has been doing the rounds on social media shows how we take people for granted. The video depicts a hungry driver, who had not touched a morsel due to long working hours, being beaten up mercilessly on demanding food.

The person inflicting the violence on the driver has been identified as Khirod Kumar Behera, tehsildar of Barbil who is also given the BDO in-charge responsibility of Joda block. The incident took place in block office premises of Joda on Sunday afternoon, stated reports.

A driver identified as Purna Chandra Barik of Sundergarh returned to the office and requested Behera for lunch. Due to a busy schedule, the driver had not eaten properly for a long time. However, Behera refused and a heated verbal duel ensued between the two following which it turned physical. The officer started pushing and beating the driver. The video of the entire incident has gone viral in social media.

Behera has now landed in controversy and his actions have been condemned by the common people.
