Bhubaneswar: The crowds, the flavour, the spirit and spiritual home of Hockey is all here. And to witness this all, hockey fans from abroad are making time from their busy schedule and are shedding money from their pockets to arrive in the temple city. With fans from South Africa, Netherlands and Malaysia, smart city Bhubaneswar has turned into a global city.

Sashkiya from Netherlands said, “I am here to support my country’s team. I have only one day to myself. I arrived last night and have to leave tonight but I will still try to explore this city as much as I can.”

Mohammed Zulelmi from Kuala Lumpur summarized in three simples phrases, “Busy roads, nice country, tasty food. I have not explored a lot but I look forward to my stay.”

Zahara beamed, “I like Bhubaneswar’s culture. I am supporting Malyasia and have traveled all the way from home to support my country. I am thrilled to see the team go against Netherlands in its first match.”

Such hockey enthusiasts prove the saying ‘Fans Make The Person A Star’. With their support and relentless efforts, there is no doubt that their teams will perform to best of its abilities.
