Bhubaneswar: Cooked food is being served to the cyclone-affected villagers of Suando under Satyabadi Block’s Bidyadharpur Gram Panchayat (GP) in Puri district since May 11 led by Odisha Higher Education Minister Ananta Das.
Both lunch and dinner are being served to over 3000 affected villagers at 6 places of the GP. The spots are Suando village (birthplace of Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das), Gualigarada, Patana, Malisahi, Bidyadharpur and Netramali Sahi.
This service is being provided by 30-member relief team from Bhogarai of Balasore district while local MLA-cum-Odisha Higher Education Minister Ananta Das is personally supervising it there.
In his media reactions, the Minister said that the cooked food service will continue till normalcy is restored in the area.
He also turned emotional as well as felt lucky enough to serve the people of Suando village as its illustrious son-of-soil Utkalmani Gopabandhu Das used to be the torchbearer of serving relief and support to the people of Odisha whenever there was natural calamity and hard times.
The Higher Education Minister has also appealed all the youth mass, students and teachers to come forward voluntarily for the ongoing relief measures and process of rebuilding Odisha.
