Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has sanctioned the establishment of a much-awaited Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Bijepur block of Bargarh district. The step has been taken with an aim to impart technical education and skill training to youths of Western Odisha.
A notification in this regard has been released by the Skill Development & Technical Education department, stated reports.
The establishment of the institute has been sanctioned under the craftsman Training pattern out of State plan budgetary allocation, states the notification dated August 1.
It is notable to mention here that Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik had announced a slew of development projects for Bijepur after winning elections for the fifth time.
He had also announced setting up of ITI at Bijepur and two skill development centres at Gaisilet and Barpalli.
As Patnaik has contested and subsequently vacated the Bijepur seat after winning, dates for bye-election to the Assembly constituency is yet to be announced.
