**Bhubaneswar:** In order to cater to the growing demand for supply of non-PDS kerosene by the non-NFSA card holders as well as bulk consumers like educational hostels, farmers for agricultural purposes, state and central police establishments, jails, hospitals, hospitals, fire stations, OSDMA and other government offices, non-PDS kerosene has been made available by the Odisha Government with the wholesalers in four districts of the State.
While the four districts are Cuttack, Khurda, Sambalpur and Sundargarh, the spots are Malgodown in Cuttack city, Samantarapur and Laxmisagar in Bhubaneswar city of Khurda district, Khetrajpur in Sambalpur district and Mandir Road, Vedabyas, Rourkela in Sundargarh district.
Talking to media, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Principal Secretary Pratipta Mohapatra said, “It’s white kerosene and letters have been issued to Odisha Police, all Principal Secretaries, all Commissioners-cum-Secretaries of various departments, ADG (OFRAF)/ ADG (SAP) and all Collectors to utilise the non-PDS kerosene as per requirement from the wholesalers as when required at the market rate”.
He also informed, “Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has been asked by the State Government for making non-PDS kerosene available all across the State”.
