Balasore: With a couple of days left for Odisha Government's ambitious Mo Sarkar initiative’s launch, senior officers are surveying healthcare delivery status of state-run hospitals.

As a part of this initiative, Managing Director of Odisha State Medical Corporation, Yamini Sarangi toured Government Medical College & Hospital, Balasore and took stock of the status of healthcare facilities.

Sarangi was accompanied by Balasore Collector K Sudarshan Chakraborty, Medical College Dean, Dr Pratap Kumar Rath, Chief District Medical Officer, Dr BP Chakravarty and other senior officials.

She visited different wards of the hospital, inspected the premises, and also interacted with the patients and their family members during the tour.

"Under Mo Sarkar initiative senior officers have been given the charge of different districts and I have been designated for Balasore. The tour was productive as I could meet patients, doctors and get first-hand information of availability and supply of medicines," she said.

Hassle-free availability of drugs, healthcare, and sanitation in and around the facility are the priorities of the Government, she added. ‘Mo Sarkar’ will be launched by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti on October 2.
