Odisha Govt Gears Up For Inclusion Of Additional 10 Lakh KALIA Beneficiaries, Draft List On March 1

Bhubaneswar: As the recent Odisha Cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has approved the proposal for inclusion of additional 10 lakh beneficiaries in the ongoing KALIA scheme implemented by the State Government, administrative today pulled up its socks.

Soon after the high level meeting at the State Secretariat here today, Odisha Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi told media, “In the recent Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister has assured that no eligible beneficiary will be left out. Hence, it has been decided that 10 lakh more beneficiaries will be included in our KALIA Yojana. Previously the figure was 35 lakh.”

“Thus, today we discussed on the phasing out and the mode of verification. On March 1, we’ll publish a draft list. It will be followed by verification and other formalities,” he informed.

He also informed, “In the last Cabinet, one more decision was also taken that the second installment of KALIA assistance will be given from April 1. Implementation of that was also discussed today.”
