Odisha Govt Fast Tracks 98 Investment Proposals For Land Allotment

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government's High Level Land Allotment Committee (HLLAC) today fast-tracked land allotment for 98 investment proposals for the next level consideration at its meeting held at the Lok Seva Bhawan here today.

Principal Secretary and Chief Managing Director (CMD) Industrial Development Corporation (IDCO) Sanjay Kumar Singh outlined the technical and financial details of the projects at the HLLAC meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy.

While giving his nod to the proposals, the Chief Secretary directed concerned officials to do due diligence about the quantum of land required for various types of industrial units. He emphasized on cent percent utilization of the allotted land for industrial purposes.

"These Units are in different sectors like food processing, manufacturing, establishment of logistic park and renewable energy," said Singh speaking to reporters soon after the meeting.

"Mostly, the units are MSMEs having enormous potential for employment generation. They will also boost up economic activities at the ground level," he added.

The IDCO CMD said that the proposals were recommended for land allotment in Bhubaneswar Master Plan area including Gothpatana, Infocity, Infovalley, Seafood Park, industrial estates at Khordha, Kholadwar, Jaymangal, Chhatabar, Anlapatna, Bhagabanpur, and Mancheswar.

Additional Chief Secretary Mona Sharma, Principal Secretary Industry Hemant Kumar Sharma, Principal Secretary Law Sashikanta Mishra and other senior officials from concerned departments took part in today’s meeting.
