Odisha Govt Approves 5 Projects Worth Rs 922 Cr

Bhubaneswar: The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) approved five investment proposals of worth Rs 922 crore envisaging the employment potential for 2,650 persons. The proposals were approved in the SLSWCA meeting held under the Chairmanship of Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy at Lok Seva Bhawan here on Friday.

Industries Department Secretary, Hemant Sharma outlined the project proposals for consideration.  Giving nod to the investment projects, Tripathy directed concerned departments to provide proactive facilitation to the approved units for their early grounding. Tripathy directed the departments of industries and water resources to make water allocation to industrial units more realistic and qualitative.

The department was asked to withdraw the unused water already allotted to the industries and reallocate those as per the real requirement. Further, it was decided in the meeting that IDCO would allot land for all industrial units approved by district level single window clearance authority of various districts. For the purpose, the General Manager of respective DIC would work as the nodal point for IDCO at district level.

Managing Director, IDCO Sanjaya Singh present in the meeting said that IDCO would provide necessary logistics and staff support to the DICs. The proposals approved in the meeting were from tourism, steel, food processing and IT & ESDM sectors.
