Khurda: A gang of unidentified miscreants broke into a jewellery store and looted gold ornaments worth one lakh rupees last night in Jatani’s Raja Bazar.

Taking advantage of the incessant rains, the robbers broke into the ‘Gold Plaza’ store by digging a tunnel through the drain.

Jatani police is currently investigating the situation with the help of a scientific team. The exact amount of the loot is still to be estimated.

The cops are also looking at the CCTV footage from the nearby shops to identify the robbers.
