Odisha: Fraudster Fakes Degree Certificate For Govt Job, Caught After 10 Years

Dhenkanal: A Financial Advisor for government educational institutions at Dhenkanal has been suspended after his certificates were found to have been forged. The person in question is Santosh Maharana who has been working as a financial advisor for educational institutions in the district over the last 10 years.

Maharana used to draw a salary of Rs 40,000 per month. It has been reported that he assessed and approved projects to the tune of Rs 30 crore during his tenure as a financial advisor. Surprisingly, this man never passed the matriculation examination, reports added.

Maharana reportedly faked a BCom certificate and managed to secure a consequential job. The matter has been reported to Odisha Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) and the being investigated separately by the district administration.
