Odisha: Former VIMSAR Director Aswini Pujahari Resigns From Congress

01 July 2019

Bhubaneswar: Former VIMSAR director Dr Ashwini Pujahari resigned from the primary membership of the Congress party.

After having unsuccessfully contested Assembly polls from Sambalpur constituency in April, Pujahari said that he was humiliated by some party workers during a review meeting held at the District Congress Committee few days back.

Notably, Pujahari had joined the Congress on March 24, a month after resigning as Director of Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (VIMSAR) in Burla.

Last year on December, Pujahari had been served a show-cause notice after a video of him using unproven therapies for treatment with salt during a surgery had emerged. He was also in news for his sting operations.
