Odisha: 2 Including Former Block Chairman Killed In Road Mishap, 3 Others Critical

Bolangir: In an unfortunate road mishap, two persons including former block chairman of Bangamunda were killed after the car they were traveling in collided with a truck on NH-57 near Sialjuri in Sonepur district late last night.

Rashtrapati Behera, a State Executive Member of the BJP and former chairman of Bangamunda block in Bolangir, was killed in the accident. One of his friends lost his life too.

Reportedly, Behera and four of his friends were on their way to Bhubaneswar from Kantabanji when the SUV car collided head-on with a truck at around 1 am. Behera and his associate were killed on the spot.

Three others were critically injured in the accident and were rushed to a hospital for treatment. Cops have sent the bodies for post-mortem and truck has been seized from the spot.
