Odisha: Fire Damages 14 Stacks of Paddy In Ganjam, Watch Video

Ganjam: Heaps of harvested paddy were burned to ashes last night after a major fire broke out in the farmyard of Kamundi village in Bhanjanagar area here.

According to reports, 14 stacks of paddy (more than 4 acres) belonging to two families were gutted in the fire. It is suspected that a miscreant had set the farmland on fire.

On intimation, fire officials rushed to the spot and doused the flames. However, the exact reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained. On the other hand, farmers have demanded a detailed probe into the matter and due compensation.
