Odisha Finance Minister Tables Rs 8,126.32 Cr Supplementary Budget

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari today tabled Rs 8,126.32 crore Supplementary Budget for 2019-20 amid ruckus by opposition members.

Soon after the tabling of the Supplementary Budget, as opposition members continued with the ruckus, the House was adjourned for the day till tomorrow by Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro.

Here are the salient points of the budget:

·         An outlay of Rs 267.23 crore has been made for Administrative Expenditure.

·         An outlay of Rs 7,432.80 crore has been made for Programme Expenditure.

·         An outlay of Rs 1.75 crore has been made for Parliamentary Affairs department.

·         An outlay of Rs 851.15 crore has been made Energy department.

·         An outlay of Rs 45.53 crore has been made for Tourism department.

·         An outlay of Rs 191.03 crore has been made for Cooperation department.

·         An outlay of Rs 261.25 crore has been made for Women and Child Development department.

·         An outlay of Rs 17.01 crore has been made for Technology.

·         An outlay of Rs 34.53 crore has been made for Higher Education.

·         An outlay of Rs 71.57 crore has been made for Skill Development

·         An outlay of Rs 6.52 crore has been made for Disaster Mitigation.

·         An outlay of Rs 3.07 crore has been made for Odia Language, Literature and Culture

·         An outlay of Rs 504 crore has been made for Social Security.

·         An outlay of Rs 491.22 crore has been made for Health department.

·         However, the Supplementary Budget has no outlays for Public Grievance, Mines and MSME department.

By September 2019, the State government's loan amount stood at Rs 83,307 crore.
