Odisha Finance Minister Places Rs 9,828,57 Cr Supplementary Budgetary Provision For Assembly’s Approval

Bhubaneswar: Finance Minister Sashi Bhusan Behera on Thursday laid the proposal for supplementary budgetary provision of Rs 9,828,57 crore in the Odisha Assembly for the approval of the House.

While Rs 1791.65 crore provision has been earmarked for the Administrative Expenditure, Rs 6812.76 crore for Programme Expenditure, Rs 1142.38 crore for Disaster Respond Funds and Rs 81.79 crore for Transfer from State expenditures, the Finance Minister informed media later.

While laying the provision in the House for approval, the Finance Minister apprised, “Keeping in view the needs and expectations of the people in a welfare State, the Supplementary Budget is aimed at fulfilling the requirement of funds for public welfare and developmental ativities in the State mainly through reallocation of available resources and receipt of tied-up resources from various sources.”
