Odisha: Ex-MLAs Asked To Vacate Govt Quarters

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Assembly Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro on Monday directed former MLAs to vacate government quarters occupied by them immediately.

Patra said that orders have been also issued to concerned departments for severing electricity and water connections to these quarters.

"Former MLAs who have failed to get themselves elected as MLAs but are in occupation of government quarters have been directed to immediately vacate them. Also instructions have been issued to immediately disconnect electricity and water to these quarters,"informed Patro speaking to reporters.

The Speaker futher informed that these quarters have been alloted to newly elected MLAs.
