Odisha: Ex-BJD MLA Rabi Narayan Pani Joins BJP

Bhubaneswar: Close on the heels of quitting BJD, former Pallahara MLA Rabi Narayan Pani joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today. Along with Pani, a number of his supporters joined the saffron party at its State Headquarters here.

He had handed over his resignation to Odisha Chief Minister cum supremo of BJD at Naveen Niwas on Sunday.

Pani was the BJD's chief whip when he was elected MLA from Pallahara assembly constituency for the term 2009-2014. He had also been appointed observer for Jharsuguda and Sambalpur districts. It is notable to mention here that he was also Janata Dal MP from Deogarh for the term 1989-91.
