Nayagarh: Just after a rape accused managed to escape from the Khandapada sub jail, another undertrial prisoner (UTP) gave the Nayagarh sub jail officials a slip here in the district.
The prisoner identified as Himansu Nayak was arrested in connection with a dacoity three days back. As per reports, he managed to flee on Sunday morning. A case has been lodged in the Nayagarh Sadar PS in this connection by the jailer Umesh Prasad Balabantray.
The escape of two undertrial prisoners in just a couple of days raises serious questions regarding the security lapses on the sub jails of Nayagarh district.
