Bhubaneswar: A number of BJD leaders who have been named as Assembly and Lok Sabha candidates from the State today called on Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik at his residence.

Bargarh Lok Sabha candidate Prasanna Acharya said that he was pleased on his candidature and thanked the party supremo for the selection. "We are prepared for the challenge. It is because of the towering personality and statesmanship of Naveen Patnaik, the BJD has retained its winning streak,"

"I expressed by gratitude for selecting me for Nabarangpur Lok Sabha constituency. I am acquainted with undivided Koraput district and will commit myself to the overall development of the region," BJD leader Ramesh Majhi said.

The BJD has fielded a successful SHG worker Pramila Bisoi from Aska, which is Naveen's home constituency. "I met the Chief Minister and thanked him. I will work towards strengthening self help groups in Odisha."
