Bhubaneswar: Obtaining e-records from the Sub-Registrar’s office is going to be hassle-free. With the Revenue Department switching to 5T gear, the district and tehsil officials have been asked to ensure that all documents which are e-registered at Sub-Registrar’s office will be delivered to the applicant within one hour of application from April 1.

After having a video-conference with district collectors and tehsildars today, Revenue Secretary Pradipta Mahapatra said that this facility will be available from April 1. “And from February 1 to April 1, we will deliver all the registered documents on the same day.”

It may be noted that the Revenue Department will come under Mo Sarkar initiative from February 10. In a bid to make the Department more efficient to deliver services on time, the officials have been directed to clear all pending files under Odisha Rights to Public Services (31 services) by February 5.

“We have decided to cancel the leaves of those Tehsils which have maximum pending files over the next week. The district officials have assured that all the pending cases under ORTPS will be cleared by February 5,” added Mahapatra.

In another major decision, the district officials have been asked to clear the files of College land records at the earliest. “The colleges need to have clean land records to apply for Central accreditations. Because of this, the officials have been asked to expedite the files of colleges under their jurisdiction,” Mahapatra said.
