Odisha: DSP In Vigilance Net For Taking Bribe Of Rs 5000

Nuapada: Odisha vigilance sleuths today swooped down upon a Deputy Superintendant of Police (DSP) while taking bribe of Rs 5000 at Nuapada Sadar Mahakuma here today morning.

According to reports, DSP Rabindra Sethi was caught red-handed while taking bribe from one Jagdish Chhura of Narasinghpur in a caste abuse case. He had demanded the bribe in connection with filing an investigation report.

Soon after he was caught, Kalahandi and Koraput vigilance sleuths raided his office and residence. He will be forwarded to Kalahandi Special Vigilance Court, informed officials.

It is notable to mention here that three police sub-inspectors and one DSP have already been arrested by the vigilance in connection with taking bribe over the last two months.
