Bhubaneswar: Addressing the mega election rally of BJP’s “Vijay Sankalp Samaroha” at the capital city of Odisha in the evening hours today and in the run-up to the Phase-II polling day after tomorrow (on April 18), the saffron party’s poster boy and Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried to woo the voters by saying that Odisha demanded double engine of BJP brand both at New Delhi and Bhubaneswar.

Culminating his road show from the airport to Barmunda ground here soon after alighting from the special IAF flight, Modi took a potshot at the opposition, especially the Congress, and ridiculed that the opposition has neither mission nor vision.

He said that new India adopts the tit for tat for its enemy and dares to barge into retaliation, hinting at the Balakot airstrike.

“You reposed faith in a person for 20 years. Have Odisha and the capital city Bhubaneswar developed as per expectations?” PM Modi questioned.

He claimed, “Rs 3 lakh crore invested in Odisha for infrastructural development in the last five years.”

He appealed the voters, “Allow me once five years rule in Odisha, I’ll exhibit what is development.”

“By 2022, no house in India will be left out being pucca. All houses will be pucca,” he claimed.
