Odisha: Crocodile Gets Caught In Fishing Net & Dies In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: In a shocking incident, a saltwater crocodile was found dead after being caught in a fishing net Brahmani River at Nalita Patia in Rajnagar area here today morning.

According to reports, the crocodile was spotted at the river bank when locals were going to take a bath. After being caught in a fishing net, the crocodile had struggled to free itself and had overturned in the process, said locals.

The length of the crocodile will be over 10-feet and forest department officials have already taken cognizance of the case. The post-mortem of the animal will be done soon, informed officials.

It is notable to mention here that Bhitarkanika National Park is known for its crocodile population and tourists throng the place every year.
