Bhubaneswar: Three associates of gangster Tito alias Sayed Usman Ali have been arrested by the Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch. While they fell into the dragnet yesterday (19.6.2019), they will be forwarded to the court today (20.6.2019). 

As per a press note issued by the STF today, “During investigation into STF PS Case No- 10 dt 12.07.2018 U/S 448/506/34 IPC r/w Sec 25/27 Arms, STF has arrested three associates of veteran gangster of Titto @ Sayed Usman Ali namely 1. Jee Babu @ Sayed Asfaque Ali, 2. Chitu @ Sayed Iftekahar Ali (both are brother of veteran gangster Tito @ Sayed Usman Ali) and 3. Muna @ Amzad Khan, S/o Hussain Khan of Village Dilarpur on 19.6.2019 and will be forwarded to the court today i.e. on 20.6.2019.”

The press note added, “Sayed Asfaque Ali @ Jee Babu is also wanted in STF PS Case No.12/2018, U/S 364(A)/323/324/294/506/ 507/306/307/34 IPC/25/27 Arms Act.”

It further added, “Chitu @ Sayed Iftekhar Ali is also wanted in Nayapalli PS Case No.157/2005, U/S 302/120(13)134 IPC/25/27 Arms Act. One country-made pistol was recovered from the possession of Chitu @ Sayed Iftekhar Ali with 2 live ammunitions.”

“Earlier, STF has also arrested the gangster Tito @ Sayed Usmal Ali and his associates in the above noted case. Efforts are on to arrest other associates of the gangster,” the STF press note claimed.

Notably, Tito and his previously arrested accomplices are now languishing in jail while Tito has recently been shifted from Kendrapada District Headquarters Jail to Jharpada Special Jail here in the capital city.
