Bhubaneswar: Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital, Balangir, one of the youngest government medical colleges of the country started COVID-19 RTPCR testing three days ago. The number will multiply in the coming days, the State Government of Odisha informed.
"Under Atmanirbhar Bharat Economic measures, rice and chana will be distributed to the stranded migrant workers without having a Ration Card, both who belong to the State as well other States, free of cost. Under this, 5 kg of rice per person per month and 1 kg chana per household per month will be distributed for 2 months (May & June-2020)," a press note issued by the Government stated.
Odia brothers and sisters are returning to Odisha every day since 3rd May. 9474 Odia people have returned to Odisha today. So far 2,23,847 Odias have returned to Odisha. Returnees are coming by train/bus and other vehicles, the note read.
"From 21st May morning to 22nd May morning, 3 no of cases have been registered by the Police in the state for violation of different regulations and guidelines related to COVID-19, out of which all cases are for violation of lock down. 18 persons have been arrested by police for different violations," it added.
