Bhubaneswar: The Congress which has shaken hands with the CPI and CPM in Odisha have reached at an understanding for seat adjustment.

OPCC president Niranjan Patnaik said on Sunday that CPI would contest from Chhatrapur, Brarajnagar and Boudh. "Congress would not field candidates from these three constituencies and support the CPI candidates," Patnaik said.

Similarly, as per the alliance with CPM, Congress would support Janardhan Pati, the left-leader who would contest the polls from Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha constituency.

The CPM is interested to contest from five assembly constituencies. "In Bonai CPM has a sitting MLA so Congress would not fight from this constituency. On other four seats (Congress-CPM alliance), we would take a final call very soon," Patnaik said.
