Odisha: Complainant Turns Hostile In 'Golden Baba' Case

Bhubaneswar: In an interesting turn of events in the case of Jyoti Ranjan Beura alias ‘Golden Baba’, a complainant filed compromise petition in the court on Wednesday.

However, the EOW officials and lawyer challenged the petition and were successful in getting it rejected. Beura is an accused in a fraud of Rs 12.5 crore.

The case was initially registered in Chandrasekharpur police station and later taken over by the EOW. Crime Branch ADG said that the allegations against Beura are serious in nature and a thorough probe is underway to unearth his financial crimes.
