Odisha: Communication Strategy & Mascot Launched For Development Of Women And Children

Bhubaneswar: The Women and Child Development Department and Mission Shakti have launched a comprehensive State level Communication Strategy and unveiled a mascot of the Department on Thursday.

The programme aims at providing right to information to the public about government programmes on child and women nutrition, child and women safety as well as the development and to buck up people for changing their behaviour.

For successfully reaching out to the public, an emphatic protagonist mascot has been projected. This mascot will take care of providing right information on government projects for women and children to the public.

To provide the benefits of such government schemes in each and every household, a comprehensive state level Communication Strategy has been developed which will be telecast through television, radio and newspapers.

The Department is trying to create comprehensive awareness programmes on government schemes like Biju Sishu Surakhya Yojana, among others.

During the launch ceremony awareness drive on women and child safety and development was established through sand animations, leaflets and posters. by the active help of panchayat representatives, women SHGs, the Department eyes upon to promote such valuable event further.

Among others, Principal Secretary WCD Department, Anu Garg, Director of I&PR Department Krupasindhu Mishra, Chiarman Odisha Film Development Corporation, Kuna Tripathy, Chief of Mo College programme, Akash Das Nayak and UNICEF Odisha Chief, Monika O Nielsen were present at the event.
