Bhubaneswar: A day after OMMCOM NEWS reported about Field Hockey Canada’s donation to an orphanage in Baliguda, the news reached the office of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who took to his micro-blogging site to praise the donor’s philanthropic gesture.
“Good deeds & philanthropy undeniably transcend boundaries of humanity and geography; deeply appreciate @HockeyCanada for this yeoman gesture to spread a smile amongst those who happen to be less fortunate. Every step towards inclusivity matters #HWC2018,” Naveen Patnaik wrote on Twitter and Facebook while sharing the story filed by OMMCOM NEWS.
Reportedly, Field Hock Canada has made a generous donation to an orphanage in Baliguda so that the children there can continue their hockey program.
"On behalf of our World Cup game, Field Hockey Canada has made a donation to the Baliguda/Odisha orphanage so that the children can continue their field hockey program. With our donation, they will also attend games at the World Cup tournament," the letter from the Canadian Team reads.
OMMCOM NEWS hopes that the story reaches a wider audience via the Chief Minister and instills hope and good in the society.
