Mayurbhanj: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district today afternoon to inaugurate 21 projects worth Rs 45 crore and lay foundation stones for 15 projects worth Rs 960.34 crore.
In the convention, the Chief Minister asked his signature question, “Are you all happy?” When he got an overwhelming response, he said, “I am happy too. Today, I have inaugurated projects worth Rs 1000 crore in Rairangpur. I will make three major announcements for you now. I have decided to expand Rairangpur subdivisional hospital to 100 beds in PPP mode. In addition to that, a stadium will be constructed in Rairangpur for development of sports in the area. The project administrator of Integrated Tribal Development Agency in the area will also take charge of the duties as an ADM (additional district magistrate) of Rairangpur subdivision.”
He also graced the Mission Shakti convention where Rs 15,000 seed money assistance was provided to 7453 women SHGs. 12 block-level women Mahasanghs were also provided with Rs 25 lakh assistance, and Rs 3000 was also given to 7467 SHGs for digital empowerment. In total, all SHGs and Mahasanghs of 12 blocks in the district were provided with a Rs 16 crore assistance today.
The CM inaugurated the several high-level bridges, women and child treatment centres and pipeline projects in the area. Foundation stones were laid for road renovations, construction of bridges and mega pipewater projects across several blocks of Mayurbhanj. Soon after that in a marathon program, the CM proceeded to Keonjhar to attend a farmers’ convention, provide assistance to KALIA beneficiaries and inaugurate several projects for the district.
