Bhubaneswar: Finishing the last leg of election campaigning in Salepur ahead of phase-IV polls, Odisha Chief Minister cum supremo of ruling Biju Janata Dal Naveen Patnaik promised the people that he was whole-heartedly committed to work for the development of Odisha.

In the late afternoon hours, he conducted a road show in Salepur through Haripur, Sapha, Gouda Gaon, Biswanakani, Barpada Bhagatpur and Tangi. As the CM waved to the public with a big smile on his face, the hi-tech bus toured every nook and corner of the villages staying true to Naveen’s message “4.5 crore Odia people are my family.”

Referring to Baijayant Panda, the regional satrap said, “I had nominated a young and talented individual to represent you all. On my request you voted for him in large numbers. But he betrayed the people of Kendrapada and shattered my trust."

Highlighting the Centre’s negligence, the CM also said, "The BJP leaders make a beeline to the State during elections but disappear during calamities. They did not come to Odisha during 'Titli', floods or drought. But are now rushing for votes," he said.

He further said, “Are only the votes of Odisha’s people valuable for BJP, not their well-being?"

He urged the voters to vote for the ‘conch’ symbol twice- once for MP and once for MLA. It is notable to mention here that BJD has fielded Ollywood superstar Anubhav Mohanty as it Lok Sabha candidate from Kendrapara.

Earlier in the day, he had conducted road show via Gulnagar, Indupur, Gogua, Pattamundei, Patrapur, Aul, Rajkanika and Olavar in Kendrapara. With this road show in Tangi, the CM wound up his election campaigning for the fourth and final phase of polls in Odisha.
