Chhatrapur: Odisha Chief Minister-cum-Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo Naveen Patnaik filed his nomination papers for Hinjili assembly constituency on Wednesday.

Patnaik submitted his nomination papers with Chhatrapur Sub-Collector-cum-Returning Officer in presence of Ganjam District BJD president-cum-Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Kumar Panigrahy, BJD candidate for Aska parliamentary constituency, Pramila Bisoi, and other party members.

Prior to filing his nomination, Patnaik sought the blessings of the Goddess at Taratarini Temple on the Kumari hills at the bank of River Rushikulya near Berhampur in Ganjam district.

Notably, the BJD supremo announced the list of party ticket holders for the nine Lok Sabha and 54 assembly seats while he has decided to simultaneously contest from his home turf Hinjili as well as Bijepur under western Odisha’s Bargarh parliamentary constituency.
