Odisha CM Inaugurates ICC World Leadership Summit In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Government has been championing the cause of Women Empowerment. It has encouraged women for their socio-economic empowerment with Mission Shakti, Start-up Odisha, Skilled-in-Odisha and several other initiatives, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik said today.

Inaugurating the ICC Women's Leadership Summit in Bhubaneswar, Naveen said, through Make-in-Odisha, the State Government is encouraging investment in Odisha and translate opportunities into an economic win-win for both the investors and the people of the state.

“I am glad to inaugurate ICC Women's Leadership Summit here at Bhubaneswar. I understand that Odisha has become the first State in the country to get ICC's first women's committee for entrepreneurship development.”

Naveen added, “This committee is a diverse group of women entrepreneurs from various sectors both big and small who can share, collaborate and grow together to fast pace the ongoing industrial growth in the State. I wish the Women Entrepreneurship Committee all the very best.”

Among others Director General ICC Rajiv Singh, Co-Chairman, ICC Odisha JB Pani attended the function. ICC Odisha Chairman MC Thomas welcomed the guests, Convenor IWEC Sukirti Patnaaik spoke on the theme of the Women's Leadership Summit and Co-Convenor Chidatmika Khatua offered the vote of thanks.

Speaking to the media Sukriti said, “It is a matter of pride that women business leaders of Odisha have come together on a common platform. We will not only uplift the members, but also carry a rural entrepreneurship drive in the coming months.”

Sony Samal, a Core Member of the Committee said, “I am very happy and proud that Odisha, my native state has offered such a conducive atmosphere for my start-up to prosper. Our fellow entrepreneurs have a big agenda to work for the SHG Groups and rural Odisha.”

“We are 50 members in the Committee which is growing. There are many young entrepreneurs who are committed to the cause of successful business and the society," Sony added.
