Odisha CM Inaugurates 2nd State Book Festival 'Akshara'

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated the second State Book Festival (Akshara Book Fair) at the Exhibition Ground here today.

"I am very glad to attend the Akshara Book Fair. On this occasion I extend my best wishes to you all," said Patnaik.

The Chief Minister expressed his happiness over the opening of a special stall on 'Gandhiji in Odisha' at the book fair.

"I believe Gandhiji's thoughts will succeed in connecting people especially our youth," stated Patnaik.

The Chief Minister said that he strongly believes in Gandhiji's thoughts. His writings, thoughts will remain relevant for ages, he added.

"Book fairs are knowledge fairs. I believe Akshara will succeed in introducing the public to new horizons of knowledge," Patnaik said.

The Akshara Book Fair which has over 500 stalls selling a variety of books for all age groups will remain open till December 16.
