Odisha CM Gifts Projects Worth Rs 1100 Cr To Ganjam, Provides Assistance To ‘KALIA’ Beneficiaries

Ganjam: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik was in his home-turf today to gift projects worth Rs 1100 crore to the district of Ganjam. After attending a joining program at Naveen Niwas, he flew to Rangeilunda at around 12.30 pm in the afternoon and marked his presence at the district’s KALIA farmers’ convention.

During the grand event, he launched 231 projects and 48 proposed ones worth crores of rupees. Amidst 50 platoons of police force, the Chief Minister inaugurated projects worth Rs 716 crore and laid foundation stones for ventures worth Rs 296 crore. Then, he distributed agricultural assets and financial assistance under ‘KALIA’ scheme to around 25000 farmers from 22 blocks of the district.

Addressing the huge gathering, he said, “I welcome you all to the program. I have gifted you projects worth Rs 1100 crore today. I have also sanctioned funds to sharecroppers under the ‘KALIA’ scheme and the beneficiaries will get the money directly in their bank accounts. I congratulate you all on this and I hope you are happy.”

In the evening, the CM is scheduled to leave on a two-day visit to Delhi to discuss Odisha’s pending issues with the Central Government. He is slated to hold a meeting with officials of Central and State at Odisha Bhawan tomorrow.
