Odisha CM Dedicates Projects Worth Rs 1005 Cr To Mayurbhanj, Empowers Women In Mission Shakti Convention

Mayurbhanj: With a basket of projects worth crores of rupees, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district today afternoon and inaugurated several developmental projects along with laying foundation stones for many others. 21 projects worth Rs 45 crore were inaugurated by the CM in Rairangpur and Karanjia subdivision and foundation stones were laid down for 15 projects worth Rs 960.34 crore.

The Chief Minister departed from Bhubaneswar at around 10 am and arrived at Raisuan at 10:45 am, following which he proceeded to Mahuldiha ground. After dedicating projects worth Rs 1005 crore to the people, the Chief Minister also addressed the Mission Shakti convention and empowered the Self-help groups.

In the convention, Rs 15,000 seed money assistance was provided to 7453 women SHGs and 12 Block Level Federations (Mahasanghs) were provided with Rs 25 lakh assistance. Rs 3000 was also given to 7467 SHGs for digital empowerment. In total, all SHGs and Mahasanghs of 12 blocks in the district were provided with a Rs 16 crore assistance today. Naveen Patnaik has approved an incentive of Rs 500 and Rs 200 to Anganwadi workers and helpers respectively on formation of each new SHG. In 12 blocks, 1798 workers and 1362 helpers have received this incentive amounting to Rs. 48.62 lakh.

The CM inaugurated the following projects: Two high-level bridges on Jaumara canal in Baripada-Bamanghati road in Banigirposi block and Balijoda canal in Sarasakana block; 50-bedded and 30-bedded women and child treatment centres in Karanjia subdivision hospital and Thakuramunda Community health centre respectively; high-level bridges on Chhamadadihi canal and Guria canal; and 15 pipeline projects in villages of Purunapani, Toloko, Kuleisila, Kalimati, Tileijhari, Badamouda, Nuabeda, Maricha, Tentala Indkoli, Kucheipala, Khandabandha, Khuntaposi, Hatisikuli and Jata.

Foundation stones were laid for the following projects: Widening and renovation of Bisoi-Rairangpur road in NH-50 and Kalabadia-Bangiriposi road; bridge on Simili canal; renovation of Thakuramunda-Dangadiha-Udala-Manitri-Baisinga-Rupsa road; bridge on Kantakhairi river along the Mahadev Deuli-Khichin road; bridges on Guria canal on Anandpur-Gunduria road and Katara river along Chatramandala-Bhimkhand road; three mega pipewater projects in Rairangpur, Kusumi and Jasipur; three bridges on Bhandan river, Gobarjod canal and Budhabalanga river; minor irrigation projects in Sarasakana block; and high level bridge on Khairi Bhandan river along Parbatipur-Kalanda road.
