Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday flagged off the exposure visit of Tata Steel Young Astronomers to Indian Space Application Centre, Ahmedabad for the year 2018-19 (YATS 2018-19) from ‘Naveen Nivas’. 20 students were selected for YATS 2019-19 through a rigorous process.

The 20 winning students will go on an exposure visit to Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Space Application Centre, Ahmedabad, for a first–hand experience of space science in action. With overwhelming participation of students this year the theme of YATS is ‘Unraveling the wonders of the universe ‘.

Naveen congratulated the young astronomers for their talent and success and hoped that they would make India proud in space research and application. Among others, Minister of Science and Technology, Ashok Panda and Tata Steel Corporate Communications Chief, Kulvin Suri were present.
