Odisha CM Dedicates 182 Drinking Water Supply Projects, Lays Foundation For 555 New Projects

Cuttack: In a bid to provide cent percent pipe water coverage to every street, every habitation and every house of all the urban local bodies (ULBs) of our State, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday inauguarted 182 drinking water supply projects and laid foundation for 555 new potable water projects through video conferencing at a special function organised in the Indoor Stadium here.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister said, “Today 182 drinking water supply projects were dedicated and foundation for 555 new projects were also laid in the entire State. This will give hundred percent pipe water coverage to every street, every habitation and every house of all the 113 urban local bodies (ULBs) of our State.”

“The work will be completed in one year time and will benefit mostly the urban poor,” stated the CM.

The Odisha CM also advised the people not to waste water and keep the water sources pollution free as water is life and helps in keeping us all healthy as well as contributes significantly to the economy.
