Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today declared the Odisha Hockey World Cup Open at the spectacular venue of Kalinga Stadium here teeming with thousands of sports lovers and hockey aficionados.

Initiating his keynote address with the pious greetings ‘Jay Jagannath’, the sports connoisseur Chief Minister of host-cum-chief patron Odisha said, “Ladies and Gentlemen, I welcome the international hockey teams, delegates to Odisha. You are the guests to 45 million Odia people who are known for their warmth and hospitality. All of us are looking forward to the 18-day Hockey Festival. Thank You All, Bande Utkal Janani, Jai Hind.”

“I now declare the Odisha Hockey World Cup Open,” announced the Chief Minister.
