Bhubaneswar: BJD supremo-cum-Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday embarked on a marathon election campaign to garner votes for party candidates in Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar parliamentary constituencies and the assembly constituencies under them.

After paying floral tributes to the Statue of Biju Patnaik on his 22nd death anniversary, Naveen left for Thakurmunda in Karanjia assembly constituency, where he urged the people to bless BJD’s Keonjhar MP candidate Chandrani Murmu and Karanjia assembly candidate Basanti Hembram by casting their vote for conch symbol.

Naveen also reiterated about how 40 lakh farmers have already benefitted from KALIA scheme, but the BJP Government at the Centre has conspired to stop this Yojana. He asserted that no one can stop KALIA Yojana till he is there and promised that the farmers will get their pending two installments of Rs 10,000 on the very first day of the new BJD Government formed.

Lambasting the Union Ministers from Odisha for not being able to present the problems of the people before the Central High Command, Naveen reiterated that people of Odisha is his High Command. He further stated that 4.5 crore people of Odisha are his family and he will keep on serving them till his last breath.

Later, he flew to other assembly constituencies under Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar parliamentary constituencies to address the public as well as canvass for votes in favour of BJD.

The Chief Minister will also hold a road show today afternoon starting from Cuttack-Barabati to Bhubaneswar covering Cuttack Choudwar, Cuttack Sadar, Jaydev assembly constituency and Bhubaneswar-Central assembly constituency.
