Odisha CM Calls On President, Apprises Cyclone FANI Damages

Bhubaneswar: Soon after meeting the Prime Minister at his New Delhi official residence, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today also met President Ram Nath Kovind at the Rashtrapati Bhawan in the national capital.

In his media reactions, Naveen said that it was a courtesy call and he apprised the first citizen of India about the damages caused by severe cyclonic storm FANI that had its landfall in Odisha’s Puri coast on May 3 morning hours.

The Chief Minister also informed the media persons that the President was too apprised of the restoration and rebuild Odisha measures being undertaken by the State Government.

Notably, the Odisha Chief Minister is on a week-long official tour to New Delhi for important business matters relating to the State’s interests. He is also slated to attend the significant NITI Aayog meet on June 15.
