Bhubaneswar: In a bid to further strengthen the healthcare system of the State Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday approved the appointment of 938 MBBS doctors.
The doctors will be appointed in various hospitals of Odisha, a Government notification stated.
Reportedly, it is the highest appointment of doctors at one go. With this the number of doctors in Odisha now stands at 5,707 from the total strength of 6,719.
The percentage of vacancies has now reduced from 29 per cent to 15 per cent, with only 1,012 posts remaining vacant.
