Bhubaneswar: In an unfortunate incident, Central Range Revenue Divisional Commissioner (RDC) Anil Kumar Samal fell sick after unfurling Tricolour during district-level Independence Day celebrations in Khurda.

As per reports, people were taken aback as Samal sat on the chair exhausted immediately after hoisting the flag. He was rushed to District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) for treatment.

The doctors at the DHH informed that Samal was dehydrated due to the heat. He was given medicines, kept under observation for some time and then discharged.
