Odisha Budget Will Be Made After Receipt Of Public & Expert Advice: Finance Minister

Bhubaneswar: While the formal notification for the first session of 16th Odisha Assembly has been published and a full annual budget will be presented and passed, Finance Department has sought suggestions and advice from the general public as well as plans for meetings with the experts and former finance ministers.

This was informed today by Odisha Finance Minister Niranjan Pujari.

Interacting with media at the State Secretariat here, Pujari informed, “We have sought suggestions and advice from the general public of our State for the forthcoming budget. It has been sought from all categories of the citizens.”

He further informed, “We are planning for a meeting with the experts within 2-4 days. The experts are having knowledge of public finance. We have also planned to invite and have discussion with our ex-ministers.”

“After all the discussions and plans are made, I could be able to pass on the right data to media,” he concluded.

Notably, the first session of 16th Odisha Assembly is all set to begin from June 25 onwards and State Budget for the year 2019-2020 will be presented.
