Malkangiri: While the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Malkangiri is reeling under a severe shortage of blood, the BSF jawans who have been deployed in the district for security of the people set another example today by donating their blood.
The District Collector has many a times asked people to come forward for voluntary blood donation, to deal with the acute shortage of blood in the blood banks of Malkangiri. However, due to reasons unknown the regular donors also have seem to lost interest in doing the public service.
In view of this, the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Malkangiri, had organised a blood donation camp today and successfully collected 100 units of blood out of which 80 units have been donated by the BSF jawans.
The act of the jawans has been praised by people across all sections of society and the district administration alike.
The camp was held in presence of Malkangiri District & Sessions Judge Manas Kumar Mishra, CJM Debasis Panda, Senior Civil Judge Jibanananda Padhi, Civil Courts Registrar Himanshu Sekhar Singh, DLSA Secretary Amaresh Nayak, Civil Courts Managar Pranab Kumar Pradhan, SDJM Sucheta Krupalini, JMFC Asit Kumar Singh, CommandantAmaresh Singh, Inspector Suraj Nayak and BSF DIG Barajendra Singh.
