Odisha Boy To Witness Chandrayaan-2 Landing With PM

Bhubaneswar: Odisha's Chinmaya Choudhary, a Class 8 student of DAV Public School, Mahanadi Coalfields Ltd (MCL) in Jharsuguda has been selected to witness the landing of Chandrayaan-2 on the Moon surface along with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bengaluru on September 7.

Chinmaya, son of Diptirani Patel and Pankaja Kumar Choudhury, was ecstatic after hearing the news. Chinmaya's parents, teachers, and Chairman-cum-Managing Director of MCL B.N. Shukla congratulated the young student on his achievement.

Meghalaya's Ribait Phawa, a Class 10 student in Ramakrishna Mission Higher Secondary School in Cherrapunjee's Sohra and Jharkhand's Mridula Kumari is a student of Class 9 at St. Thomas School in Ranchi have also been selected with Chinmaya.

Earlier, Rashi Verma, a Class-10 student of Delhi Public School in Uttar Pradesh was also chosen. The students have been picked for the event on the basis of an online quiz that was held on www.MyGov.in.
