Odisha: Body Of Youth Recovered From Water Tank In Cuttack

Cuttack: In a shocking incident, the body of a 28-year-old youth was recovered from a water tank of a building at Nima Sahi under Purighat police limits here today morning.

The deceased has been identified as Dayanidhi Maharana of Jhola Sahi area.

According to his mother, he had spotted him last night on the terrace, but he had not returned back into the house. Today morning, the family members panicked when he was nowhere to be found. Later, some locals spotted a water-tank half open in an adjacent under-construction building. Surprisingly, the youth’s body was found inside it.

While police has started investigating into the matter, some locals suggested that a case was pending against him and the youth was hiding in the tank to evade arrest. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.
