Odisha: Body Of Man Found From Cashew Orchard In Ganjam, Murder Suspected

Berhampur: In a shocking incident, the body of a man was found allegedly murdered in a cashew orchard near Lunidhipa village under Jagannath Prasad police limits here today morning.

The deceased has been identified as Balakrushna Sahu (35) of Itamati area of Nayagarh district.

The body was recovered by cops and sent for post-mortem as soon as villagers informed the cops about it. A motorcycle and a sledgehammer have been seized from the spot, police sources said.

While, it is suspected that Balakrushna might have been murdered over business rivalry, the actual reason behind the killing is yet to be ascertained. Further investigation into the matter is currently underway.

It is notable to mention here than more than 15 murders have been reported from Ganjam over the course of last two months.
