Bhubaneswar: The BJD on Tuesday filed a complaint with the Election Commission leveling an allegation of violation of model code of conduct by the BJP.

The BJD alleged that Saraskana assembly constituency candidate of BJP, Dr Budhan Murmu is working at the PHC in Rangamatia, Mayurbhanj.

"The BJP without verifying whether he has been relieved from his services or not, announced him as their party candidate," the complaint stated.

It is a violation of the MCC as Murmu, despite being a State Government employee engaged in campaigning for the BJP in Saraskana assembly constituency, BJD alleged.
